Hi folks, i've got the original R6300. I was browsing on the website for firmware update, and found updates for the V2 and V1. I can't remember, is my router the V1 by default, or does it have to say this on the label? Mine simply states Model: R6300 both on the sticker and GUI. Current firmware: V126.96.36.199_1.0.58 . I too hate NetGear's Firmware for the R6300. Don't want to brick my router either. I am another R6300 user that would like to know if Netgear intends to put a patch out for the KRACK vulnerability or not. If so, when can users expect to get it? If not, then tell us so we can then move on from here (i.e. get another router).
