Another option to keep the same phone number across two different phones is to forward the phone calls from one number to another. Questions for you, 1) if two iphones share the same icloud, one has imessages turned on, the other has it turned off and no backups exist for either phone (also, all icloud back up and syncing options are off), is it possible for either phone to recover old imessages from the icloud?
